Our Name (a-qú-me-um)

Many people ask us how we came up with our name. And some aren’t really sure how to pronounce it.

Our name, Acumium (pronounced a-qú-me-um) is a synthesis of the words acuity and acumen.
  • Acuity – "Sharpness of vision; a quick and penetrating intelligence."
  • Acumen – "Quickness, accuracy and keenness of judgment or insight."

We added the suffix "ium" to form a noun indicating a setting in which a given activity is taking place.
